Job Summary:
The Corporate Clinical Consultant functions as an educator, consultant, facilitator, change agent, leader, and researcher, exercising nursing knowledge and skill, and following principles of adult learning to develop and maintain clinical competency of care providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with unit leaders to identify and prioritize learning needs, and develop and implement plans to address needs and evaluate outcomes of interventions, including skill and competency assessment, continuing education, and leadership development.
- Foster a culture of professional nursing as a facilitator and role model, meeting the needs of diverse groups and operations within Truman Medical Centers.
- Develop and maintain clinical competency of care providers through education, training, and coaching.
- Conduct needs assessments, develop training plans, and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Masters of Science in Nursing, Adult Education, or other relevant specialty.
- Current state of Missouri License as a Registered Nurse.
- Current BCLS provider certification.
- Computer literacy to navigate electronic medical records and education records systems, Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Effective collaboration, problem-solving, negotiation, conflict resolution, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivation to work independently.
- Flexibility to collaborate with colleagues and shift priorities as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Nursing, Adult Education, or other appropriate health-related field.
- RN Specialty Certification in Education or area of specialty.
- Behavioral health experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Audiovisual equipment setup an advantage.
- Recent teaching experience with adult learners in the past two to three years.
