About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at UNC Health Appalachian. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Use a holistic approach to modify patients' environments and provide education on adaptive equipment.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and technologies.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in North Carolina.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • At least one year of experience in occupational therapy, preferably in an acute care setting.
