Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified Lecturer of History to join our team at Sam Houston State University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching both halves of the United States History Survey course, as well as upper-division undergraduate electives in their area of specialization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach four courses per semester, including the United States History Survey course
  • Develop and teach upper-division undergraduate electives in their area of specialization
  • Contribute to the development of the department's curriculum and programs
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in History required prior to appointment
  • Excellent teaching and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
