We are seeking a highly skilled Architectural Designer to join our Event practice at Populous Inc. As an Architectural Designer, you will play a key role in delivering some of the world's most watched sporting events, including the NFL Super Bowl, the NHL Stanley Cup, the NCAA Men's Final Four, MLB at Field of Dreams, and the Olympics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, modify, and review drawings for the design of major events, according to established best practice standards and technical expertise in 2D and 3D formats.
  • Develop solutions to technical and operational problems, from the master planning and concept design phases through detailed design.
  • Fulfill the design and operational needs of the project manager.
  • Verbally and graphically present design concepts.
  • Assist in collaboratively reviewing and critiquing designs.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required.
Requirements for Success
  • Proficiency in the following design software and applications: Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, and AutoCAD.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Sketching and illustration skills.
  • Strong graphic skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to grasp the core requirements and objectives of complex events and public assembly projects.
  • Strong in-person and video communication skills, work ethic, with demonstrated efficiency, flexibility, and desire to grow and work within a dynamic, highly team environment while being able to self-manage and work both independently and as part of a project team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Superior organizational skills: both conceptual and detail-oriented, accurate, and thorough.
  • Experience in sport venue design and/or event overlay design is beneficial but not required.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively organize, prepare, and illustrate information and ideas in a presentation format.

Compensation
  • The projected salary range for this opportunity is $50,000 - $66,210 annually, and may be more or less depending on skills, experience, and education.
