Position Purpose:
Under general supervision, the Behavioral Support Specialist will assist at-risk children and those with disabilities in educational settings.
Compensation:
The hourly wage ranges from $19 to $25.50, with eligibility for a one-time hiring bonus.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in executing Individual Education Plans (IEP) for students.
- Implement Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIP) as required.
- Provide instructional assistance in various subjects as directed.
- Manage classroom behavior and assist students in returning to tasks.
- Respond to crisis situations, applying appropriate intervention techniques.
- Maintain a safe and clean learning environment.
- Supervise students during breaks and meal times.
- Assist students with personal care needs.
- Facilitate recreational activities to promote engagement.
- Model effective behavioral strategies to enhance student outcomes.
- Ensure student safety during transitions and activities.
- Document student progress and behavior accurately.
- Collaborate with staff regarding student needs and behavior planning.
- Support colleagues in their responsibilities as needed.
- Address emergency situations to ensure safety.
- Adapt to various locations within the assigned area as necessary.
- Respond promptly to requests from supervisors.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned.
