Caregiver Assistant

The Caregiver is responsible for providing exceptional care and support to residents in our senior living community. This role requires a compassionate and dedicated individual who can assist with daily living activities, maintain resident dignity and respect, and provide superior customer service.

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene
• Transport residents to meals, activities, and other destinations as needed
• Provide assistance with mealtime, including selecting meals, serving, and clearing
• Encourage residents to participate in daily activities and lead meaningful and life-enriching activities
• Chart and document resident information, including incident reports, and communicate any observed or suspected changes in condition to a supervisor
• Respond promptly to resident alerts and react to emergency or other resident requests as needed

• Age 18 or over, or have the proper work permit and work authorization documentation
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Nurses Aid certification preferred
• Current first aid certification
• Background clearances as required by government regulations
• Complete a health screening and provide negative TB test results
• Prior Caregiving experience preferred but on-the-job training is available for candidates with the right attitude and desire
• Must be able to read and speak English
• Ability to follow oral and written directions
• Ability to interact effectively with people of different ages and backgrounds

• Must be mobile and able to execute the physical demands of the Caregiving position, including kneeling, squatting, overhead reaching, and bending
• Must be able to lift 40+ pounds and push 150 pounds unassisted
