POSITION OVERVIEW:
MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society is in search of Board Eligible/Board Certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Hospitalists to support the expanding needs of our healthcare program.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
The ideal candidate will be a physician specializing in Internal or Family Medicine, eager to contribute to the Hospitalist Program. A commitment to clinical excellence and patient satisfaction is essential. The physician should possess outstanding interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to forge strong connections with the community, as well as to establish enduring relationships with patients and their families. Collaboration is key, as the physician will work closely with the healthcare team to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
This is a well-established and efficient hospitalist program recognized for its excellent patient outcomes and high physician satisfaction rates. The program consists of a team of over 30 hospitalists operating across multiple facilities, offering a competitive base salary.
- Schedule: 7 On / 7 Off; 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
- Competitive salary with performance bonuses
- Opportunities for outreach shifts
- Manage a patient load of approximately patients per day
- Proficiency in central line placement and intubation is preferred
- Open ICU with accessible specialist consultations
- Participate in emergency response situations
- Strong support from specialist colleagues
- Opportunities for additional shifts
- Utilization of an advanced electronic health record system
- Visa sponsorship available if required
