Position Overview:
The Registered Nurse in Non-Acute Care plays a vital role in providing care for a designated patient demographic to achieve optimal health outcomes. This role emphasizes the enhancement of knowledge and skills, delivering effective direct care as part of a multidisciplinary team catering to a diverse range of complex patient needs. The nurse will oversee and guide the care delivered by other healthcare providers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination of services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate patient care and unit activities among nursing colleagues, physicians, and support staff.
- Adapt swiftly to evolving patient requirements while maintaining a strong commitment to improving the lives of patients and their families.
- Demonstrate exceptional teamwork and a dedication to ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in progress or a commitment to obtain within three years of employment.
- New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse License.
- BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association, to be obtained within 60 days of hire.
Preferred:
- National Certification in the relevant specialty area when eligible.
