AERIAL MEDICAL CARE NURSE INCENTIVES

We are seeking dedicated Aerial Medical Care Nurses to deliver direct patient care in alignment with established protocols and medical guidance. The role also involves covering open shifts as necessary within the designated area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure timely completion and submission of electronic patient care records for each flight dispatched, along with daily base checks, including narcotic inventory
  • Deliver advanced life support care in pre-hospital and intra-hospital settings from initial contact until patient transfer to the receiving medical facility, while maintaining comprehensive patient care documentation
  • Stay proficient in clinical knowledge and skills through ongoing training and practical experiences
  • Keep accurate records of required licenses, certifications, continuing education, safety protocols, and advanced procedures in the Employee Education Manual
  • Demonstrate knowledge in the operation and routine maintenance of all equipment and supplies utilized in emergency services
  • Foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the community
  • Serve as a medical team member during flights
  • Participate in pre-mission briefings and post-mission debriefings, completing necessary documentation
  • Assist with pre-mission checklists and provide pilot support as needed, including radio communication, navigation, and visual monitoring
  • Adhere to safety protocols to ensure the safety of oneself, medical personnel, patients, and equipment prior to takeoff
  • Conduct safety briefings for aircraft as required
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an emergency or critical care environment is required
  • Experience in flight operations is preferred
Education:
  • Valid RN licensure in the states served by the assigned area is required
  • EMT Certification in applicable states is required
  • AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications are mandatory prior to flight status. Trauma certification must be obtained within six months of hire
  • Advanced Certifications (CEN, CCRN, CFRN) are preferred and must be acquired within 12 months of hire
  • Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS are preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be willing to remove facial hair (if necessary) to ensure a proper fit for an N95 mask
  • Must possess the gross and fine motor skills necessary to effectively perform a full range of patient care activities
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 150 pounds with assistance
  • Specific vision capabilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Flexibility in work schedule is essential
