Position Overview: Patient Access Specialist
The Patient Access Specialist plays a crucial role in managing all facets of the Patient Access operations. This includes the registration of patients, determining the appropriate financial classification, collecting necessary insurance details, and scheduling patient appointments while upholding departmental quality standards. Additionally, the Specialist is tasked with conducting symptom and temperature screenings for hospital visitors.
This position operates on a PRN basis, with scheduling based on the needs of the facility.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of clerical experience
- Proficiency in computer usage
- Prior registration experience in a healthcare environment is preferred
