Industrial Spray Paint Technician Job Summary

Expert Staffing is seeking a skilled Industrial Spray Paint Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surface preparation, paint application, and equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Surface Preparation:
    • Clean and prepare surfaces for painting by removing dirt, grime, and other contaminants.
    • Inspect surfaces to ensure they are free of defects and ready for painting.
  • Paint Application:
    • Mix and apply paint according to specifications, including color matching and adjusting consistency.
    • Operate spray painting equipment to apply coatings evenly and accurately.
    • Apply primers, base coats, and topcoats to various surfaces and products.
  • Equipment Maintenance:
    • Maintain and clean spray painting equipment, including spray guns, compressors, and hoses.
    • Perform routine inspections and minor repairs on painting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Quality Control:
    • Inspect painted surfaces to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
    • Identify and address any issues such as defects, runs, or uneven coverage.
    • Conduct touch-ups and refinishing as needed to achieve a flawless finish.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a spray paint technician within an automotive/aerospace environment.
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining spray painting equipment.
  • Knowledge of various types of paints, coatings, and application techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality finishes.
  • Understanding of safety regulations and environmental considerations related to painting.
