Produce Inventory Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Produce Inventory Manager to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our produce department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate management of our produce inventory, including purchasing, receiving, and stocking of products.
Key ResponsibilitiesPurchase and receive produce shipments, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of products to the sales floor.
Monitor and control inventory levels, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies to minimize waste and maximize sales.
Collaborate with the produce team to ensure accurate and timely stocking of products, including rotating stock and maintaining a clean and organized sales floor.
Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Develop and maintain relationships with produce suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments, applying knowledge to improve inventory management processes and increase sales.
12+ months retail experience, preferably in a produce or inventory management role.
Strong knowledge of produce products, including production, distribution, and seasonal availability.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Exposure to temperatures: 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
Ability to work in wet and dry conditions.
Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
May require use of ladders.
