Overview:

Chiron Technology Services, Inc. is seeking a qualified Database Administrator I to join our team in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining database integrity, security, availability, and compliance with business processes throughout the entire life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain database integrity, security, availability and compliance with business processes throughout the life cycle
  • Perform disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, and monitoring
  • Evaluate and recommend database management system products
  • Perform database and application server administration. Organize and format data for efficient query and storage
  • Run SQL agent jobs for MSSQL and be familiar with installing software on Linux platforms

Requirements:

  • Seven (7) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity within the Federal Government is required
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required
  • Five (5) years of additional database engineering experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree
