We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dialysis Patient Care Technician to join our team at US Renal Care. As a PCT, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest quality dialysis treatment.
Responsibilities- Provide safe and comfortable dialysis treatment to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse.
- Monitor patients during treatment, gather vital signs, and initiate, terminate, and collect blood samples as per physician orders.
- Prepare machines for hemodialysis treatments, clean and disinfect machines after treatment, and conduct machine safety checks and log results for quality control.
- Use appropriate safety measures, including personal protective equipment, and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and state/federal laws and regulations.
- Participate in all required staff meetings and continuing education offerings.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Desire to work in healthcare and care for patients in need.
- Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus.
- Successful completion of USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, including demonstrated competency, within 8 weeks of hire.
- CPR certification required within 90 days of hire or as required by the state.
- Patient Care Technician certification must be obtained through a state certification program or national commercially available certification program within 18 months of hire date and maintained in good standing thereafter.
