Job Description for Chip Van Hauling Specialist

At Green-Tek, we are seeking a skilled Chip Van Hauling Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for safely operating long and short haul trucks to transport logs to designated locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a Class A-required vehicle in a safe and professional manner.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
  • Load and unload logs as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, logs, and deliveries.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and practices to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license with clean Motor Vehicle Record (CDL required).
  • Capable of driving a Heavy Duty vehicle with trailer.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge to make small repairs.
  • Follow all Safety Program, Policies and Procedures.
  • Clean and maintain the truck as required.
  • Work safely and efficiently, meeting the set production schedule each day.
  • Serve in alternate roles such as groundperson or equipment operator if needed.
  • Follow detailed instructions with precision.
