Position Overview:
Mendocino College is actively seeking applications for part-time, temporary faculty in the field of Emergency Medical Services, specifically focusing on Emergency Medical Technician courses offered as dual enrollment at local high schools. Assignment and Salary:
Assignments are made on a part-time, hourly contract basis, with the potential for up to 67% of a full-time assignment. Salary is based on total contract hours, with compensation determined by qualifications. The hourly rate is competitive, and payment is distributed throughout the semester.
Benefits:
The college provides a Bronze level benefits plan at the employee's expense. Sick leave is accrued based on teaching load percentage, and this position may qualify for CalSTRS Retirement.

Representative Duties:
The successful candidate will contribute to student success by:
1. Instructing a comprehensive range of courses within the discipline.
2. Conducting classes and finals as per the established schedule.
3. Preparing engaging classroom presentations and assignments.
4. Evaluating student performance through various assessments.
5. Maintaining current knowledge of teaching practices and the discipline.
Qualifications:
Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications for the discipline, which include a Bachelor's degree or higher with two years of professional experience, or an Associate degree with six years of relevant experience. Candidates may also qualify with a valid teaching credential for California Community Colleges.
