The PRN Speech-Language Pathologist plays a vital role in providing specialized speech therapy services in our community-oriented outpatient physical therapy clinic. Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, implementing individualized therapy programs, and educating patients and caregivers on effective communication strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform initial and ongoing assessments to establish personalized plans of care for patients.
  • Develop and implement tailored therapy programs using evidence-based techniques.
  • Document delivery of Speech Therapy services to ensure seamless communication among healthcare providers.
  • Educate patients, family members, caregivers, and significant others on effective communication strategies.
  • Promote physical rehabilitation services through community-based education activities, marketing initiatives, and support groups.
  • Serve as a Clinical Instructor to supervise and educate students from accredited speech therapy programs.
  • Participate in planning for the provision of patient care services and provide staff in-service training upon returning from continuing education or professional conferences.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:


  • A Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Previous experience in a hospital setting, preferably with expertise in dysphagia and Medicare documentation.
  • Current Oklahoma license for Speech-Language Pathology or SLP license eligibility with a temporary license.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence or completion within the first year under a licensed therapist as a CFY.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training during orientation prior to providing patient care.

Estimated Salary Range

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $80,000 and $110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
