About the Role:

  • You will determine donor eligibility, manage informed consent, AIDS education, and confidential self-exclusion.
  • You will evaluate donor reactions, refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when needed, and support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
  • You will manage employee incidents, determine whether further evaluation is required, and refer to EHS guidance regarding employee incidents.
  • You may be authorized as a Pandemic Coordinator and support investigations associated with pandemic threats within the local community.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate-level educational nursing program with state requirements.
  • Current licensure or certification as an EMT-Paramedic in the state where responsibilities will be assigned.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
  • Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
  • Satisfactorily complete FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialists.
  • Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
