Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Class A CDL driver to join our team as an Equipment Transport Specialist. As a key member of our branch logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting trench safety equipment to and from branch and client locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Transport: Load and unload equipment using forklifts and deliver it between branch and client locations in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Customer Liaison: Act as a liaison between customers and other departments to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded in terms of rental equipment delivery.
  • Load Security: Use appropriate equipment to secure all loads for the safety of the public, company, and client property.
  • Documentation: Produce all required service tickets, time sheets, and other work documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain all DOT inspections, logs, and documentation as required by law and report to branch management as needed.
  • Professional Relationships: Maintain professional and ethical business relationships with all customers and co-workers, adhering to established company policies and procedures.
  • Safety Ambassador: Ensure all work and driving is done in the safest manner, promoting a culture of safety within the company.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain the appearance and maintenance of the truck, communicating any vehicle deficiencies to branch management.
  • Training and Development: Maintain all types and levels of job-related training as required.
Requirements
  • Class A CDL: Must have a valid Class A CDL license.
  • DOT Physical and Drug Screenings: Must pass DOT physical and all required drug and alcohol screenings.
  • Commercial Truck Driving Experience: Must have a minimum of one year of commercial truck driving experience.
  • Clean Driving Record: Must have and maintain a clean driving record for insurance coverage purposes.
  • Overtime: Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
  • Basic Truck Maintenance: Must have a basic understanding of truck maintenance concepts.
  • Education: High school diploma preferred.
