Key Responsibilities:

* Provide supervision for clients and ensure their safety while building a rapport with them.
* Assist clients in working with a group and handling individual problems, setting limits for behavior, and creating documentation of their progress.
* Identify the possible need for professional services and communicate findings to professional staff.
* Contribute to the care and upkeep of the environment of care.

Essential Duties:

* Be aware of where all assigned residents are and what they are doing at all times.
* Use verbal de-escalation methods to redirect client behaviors and prevent/respond to crisis, using CPI techniques if necessary.
* Facilitate residential daily schedules, including participating in and providing support to residents for activities such as chores, meal service, laundry service, groups, activities, and events.
* Complete daily shift notes for individual clients and communicate with house/pod treatment teams about individual client concerns.
* Supervise self-administration of resident medications and maintain training in medication disbursement.
* Provide transportation to residents for community outings and meetings in a safe and legal manner.

Requirements:

* High school diploma or GED required.
* Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, or sociology preferred.
* Prior work experience in behavioral health treatment settings with adolescents a plus.
* Must have a valid driver's license and be eligible for insurance coverage for driving company vehicles.
* Must become CPI and CPR certified within the first 30 days.
