Salary and BenefitsThe successful candidate can expect a competitive salary range of $39.75 - $63.92 per hour, depending on experience, with opportunities for advancement and professional growth. Job DescriptionAs a Registered Nurse in our Cardiac Special Care Unit, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Your duties will include:
- Providing direct patient care, including administering medications, treatments, and diagnostic studies according to policy and procedure.
- Completing assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards.
- Addressing physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
- Formulating, coordinating, and providing plans of care as established in unit standards, including patient and family education, family needs, and discharge planning throughout hospitalization with members of the interdisciplinary team.
You will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with physicians, ancillary personnel, and other interdisciplinary team members to initiate collaboration and take action to proactively resolve and facilitate patient needs. In addition, you will make assignments in collaboration with other team members, direct and alter assignments in response to changes in patient situations, promote teamwork by delegating tasks based on skill, expertise, time availability, acuity, and needs of the patient, problem-solve, troubleshoot, and take corrective measures in the care and handling of equipment, participate in unit-based decision-making regarding the utilization of evidence-based practice, actively participate as a team member working toward team goals of the unit and organization, and support and participate in initiatives that support the Magnet mission.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Nursing (Required)
- Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body
- Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) - RN_State of Pennsylvania
- Certified in BLS within 6 months of hire date
In addition, you will need to have a strong interest in Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular Surgical Intermediate Nursing Care and a desire to be part of a Nursing Team dedicated to exemplary patient outcomes and patient experience.
