We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Watercrest Senior Living. As a key member of our Resident Care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Direct Care Provision: Provide direct and indirect care to residents in a sensitive, professional, and effective manner, working in partnership with the Resident Care team.
- Medication Management: Contribute to all aspects of medication management, including orders, administration, storage, documentation, and adherence to state regulations and company policies.
- Charge Nurse Duties: Serve as the Charge Nurse for assigned shifts, ensuring residents are well cared for, and assume responsibility in the absence of the Executive Director and Resident Wellness Director/Director of Nursing.
- Resident Support: Assist residents with self-medication or administration of medications, and ensure that all resident care specialists are familiar with individual conditions and trained to provide resident services effectively.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Provide accurate and timely documentation of all care provided to residents, assemble and maintain resident charting, and accurately maintain all records.
- Emergency Preparedness: Be prepared for and manage emergency situations, including disasters, fires, and other emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents and staff.
- Education: LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) or RN (Registered Nurse) license.
- Experience: Minimum one year in the senior living, Assisted Living, Memory Care environment.
- Skills and Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, team members, residents, family members, vendors, referral sources, and outside contacts; make independent decisions; and possess a passion to work with and around senior citizens.
The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position:
- Able to stand or walk 75% of the day.
- Able to concentrate with frequent interruptions.
- Able to work under stress and in emergency situations.
- Able to work under conditions that require sitting, standing, walking, reaching, pulling, pushing, and grasping.
- Able to talk and hear effectively in order to convey instructions and information to residents and team members.
- Occasionally lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
