Role Summary: In the capacity of an Information System Support Specialist, you will be instrumental in maintaining the efficient functioning of our Local Area Network (LAN). Your responsibilities will include ensuring that all software applications are readily available to users and swiftly addressing any technical difficulties that may arise. Furthermore, you will serve as a crucial link between the Commonwealth of Virginia staff, county personnel, and local social services representatives.

Essential Qualifications - Skills and Expertise:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of computer systems, software applications, and local area networking
  • Expertise in office productivity software and the configuration of computer hardware
  • Capability to effectively operate, troubleshoot, and install computer systems
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve issues related to computers, printers, and network devices with minimal oversight
  • Must exhibit a positive attitude, a supportive demeanor, and uphold professional relationships with colleagues, clients, and the community
