Key Responsibilities
  • Transport construction materials to job sites in a safe and timely manner
  • Assist and supervise loading of truck to ensure proper order and weight distribution
  • Receive and follow dispatcher instructions, including invoices, directions to job sites, and special instructions
  • Maintain accurate records, including DOT drivers' daily logs, fuel receipts, delivery documentation, and other required documents
  • Build and maintain good customer relationships
  • Perform pre-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and report any concerns or problems
  • Obtain shipping bills and necessary signatures and return completed paperwork to the shipping department
  • Provide and document routine maintenance of assigned truck and loading/unloading equipment
  • Unload cargo in a safe manner and survey job sites to determine the best unloading area
  • Develop knowledge of inventory, sizes, types, colors, and pallet packages
  • Monitor and report problems with assigned product quality, customer satisfaction, and traffic
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CDL A required
  • At least 3 years of experience operating a CDL A vehicle, with flatbed experience a plus
  • Detailed oriented and good communication skills a plus
  • Must be at least 24 years of age
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Forklift certified a plus
  • Bi-lingual a plus
