We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our team at Ochsner Health. As a CT Technologist Float, you will be responsible for assessing patients and safely performing routine CT procedures in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures and protocols.

This role requires a strong understanding of CT procedures and technical language, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of patient care.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in radiologic technology, including 1 year of CT experience. You will also be required to have current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association and be registered by the American Register of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).

As a CT Technologist Float, you will be responsible for:

  • Verifying physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy
  • Utilizing radiology information systems to facilitate care
  • Explaining procedures to patients to ensure understanding
  • Independently operating equipment to complete imaging procedures according to protocol
  • Reviewing patient images prior to transmission to ensure diagnostic quality standards
  • Completing timely quality control procedures in accordance with regulatory standards
