Orthopedic Surgeon

As an Orthopedic Surgeon at Allina Health, you will provide expert care to patients with hip and knee conditions, managing their arthritis through conservative and surgical means. You will work collaboratively with the orthopedic care team, hospital staff, and other specialties to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. Your clinical expertise will be essential in helping patients achieve optimal health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care for musculoskeletal patients
Review patient medical history, collecting and prioritizing comprehensive data
Evaluate, interpret, and coordinate information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and provide consultation or intervention as needed
Work collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being
Practice in a thoughtful manner, considering cultural diversity, individual autonomy, and legal responsibilities
Requirements:
Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or foreign equivalent from an approved school of medicine
Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited Residency training program in Orthopedic Surgery
0 to 2 years of demonstrated experience in designated specialty area
0 to 2 years of experience in research, presentations, and sideline coverage preferred
Licensed Physician - MN Board of Medical Practice required, and must be board certified or be eligible for board certification within designated specialty upon hire
ACLS-BLS Tier - Multisource required within 180 Days
Physical Demands:
Medium Work*: Lifting weight Up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), Up to 25 lbs. frequently
