Position Overview

The RN in Preoperative and PACU settings is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care by utilizing the nursing process, adhering to medical guidelines, and following organizational protocols. This role is essential in ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centered care throughout the perioperative experience for diverse patient populations. The RN will embody the mission, vision, and values of USPI.



Essential Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • Active NV Nursing License
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Preoperative and PACU settings, with preference for candidates with ambulatory surgical experience
  • In-depth understanding of surgical procedures and patient management
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques and their practical application
  • Ability to provide care for patients with fluctuating medical needs and respond appropriately
  • Competence in identifying, assessing, and resolving clinical issues
  • Capacity to swiftly adapt to changes in patient conditions
  • Strong educational and instructional skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Commitment to professional ethics and behavior
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships with patients, physicians, and colleagues (TEAMWORK)
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Demonstrated accountability, creativity, and openness to change
  • Basic understanding of Performance Improvement principles
