We are seeking an exceptional Critical Care Neurosurgery Nurse to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to our interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced neuro specialty inpatient unit at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

Job Summary:

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for a dedicated nurse to work with a variety of both medical and surgical neuro patients on our 25-bed neurosurgery general care unit. Our team utilizes evidence-based practice and encourages collaboration and teamwork to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

About the Unit:

The neurological patient population on this unit includes multiple sclerosis, ALS, Guillain-Barre syndrome, trauma or ortho patients with multiple injuries/diagnosis or spinal fractures requiring orthotics. We also have a Level IV Comprehensive Epilepsy Center as designated by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers, providing patients and families with access to the highest level of diagnosis and treatment options for epilepsy.

Requirements:
  • A valid WI nursing license or compact license from your permanent address state
  • At least two years of acute care experience within the last three years
  • Basic Arrhythmia experience and certification through American Heart Association only
  • Neurosurgery experience preferred but not required
