About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our team at Tioga Dental. As a key member of our dental care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient-centered care to our young patients.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patients by following established protocols and procedures.
  • Assist dentists with chairside support, ensuring the smooth flow of daily operations.
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency of the dental practice by performing clinical and administrative tasks.
  • Provide information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests.
  • Prepare and deliver instruments, materials, and diagnostic information as needed.
  • Maintain patient appearance and ability to masticate by fabricating temporary restorations and cleaning removable appliances.
  • Help manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification and emergency supplies.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.
  • Document dental care services by charting in patient records.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and protect operations by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Conserve dental resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
Qualifications
  • Experience working as a Dental Assistant or training from a formal Dental Assistant program.
