Minimum Educational Requirements:

A high school diploma or GED is required. Vocational training from an accredited automotive school is preferred, along with ASE Master certification.

Experience Requirements:

A minimum of four years of advanced technical repair and maintenance experience in fleet, automotive, or truck vehicles is required. Experience in welding and basic D.C. electrical troubleshooting is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proficient understanding of the operation and use of equipment, testing tools, gauges, and instruments related to the troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic, gasoline, diesel, electric, and hybrid motorized equipment. Strong computer skills are essential, along with demonstrated teamwork and interpersonal abilities.

Working Conditions:

Must possess a basic set of automotive hand tools, including metric sizes. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maneuver heavier weights with assistance. Candidates should be capable of working independently for extended periods in a noisy, non-climate-controlled environment. A valid driver's license in the state of residence is mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits:

The compensation for this position is competitive, with a starting pay of $41.11 per hour. FedEx offers eligible employees a comprehensive benefits package, including health, vision, and dental insurance, retirement plans, and tuition reimbursement.
