  • Competitive Pay: Our Sports Medicine Professional will receive a salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • Sign-on Bonus: Eligible candidates may receive a sign-on bonus up to $5,000, including relocation reimbursement up to $2,500.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree: In Athletic Training from a CAATE-approved program.
  • BOC Certification: Completion of the Board of Certification (BOC) certification.
  • Licensure: Licensed by the State of New York as an Athletic Trainer.
  • CPR Certification: Current BLS certification.
  • Flexibility: Adaptability to adjust to fluid situations is essential.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:
  • Establish and Maintain an Effective Athletic Training Program: Develop and implement policies and procedures for the athletic training department, including inventory management and ordering supplies and equipment.
  • Provide AT Services: Offer athletic training services for events and competitions, including injury prevention, emergency care, and health records management.
  • Safe Playing Environment: Monitor and control environmental risks to create a safe playing environment.
  • Risk Management: Coordinate and manage medical and risk management for all athletes, including preventative care, emergency care, and health records management.
  • Workers Compensation Case Manager: Act as the workers compensation case manager for the professional contracted team, submitting insurance information, facilitating referrals, tracking claims, and reporting back to the organization within HIPAA/FERPA guidelines.
  • Documentation: Document injury, illness, treatment, rehabilitation, and other relevant information according to JAG Athletic Training policy and state licensure professional practice standards.
  • In-Service Programs: Provide in-service programs and educational sessions to local schools, coaches, athletes, and communities on health and fitness-related topics.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other JAG professionals in programs such as Physical Therapy and physician-related services.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Duties: Assist with departmental administrative duties and day-to-day operations, including small group service line process improvement and growth projects.
  • Marketing and Promotional Initiatives: Contribute to marketing and promotional initiatives and collaborate with the physical therapy service team in clinics to assist with daily operations.
