Position Summary:
We are looking for a Quality Control Technician to uphold our operational standards and ensure compliance with industry regulations. This position involves performing regular inspections and monitoring various processes. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with the possibility of weekends and overtime as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections of the facility and equipment prior to production.
- Execute ATP and Environmental swabbing on machinery.
- Calibrate temperature measuring devices.
- Perform allergen testing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Supervise Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) protocols.
- Verify the effectiveness of metal detection systems.
- Inspect products and production lines for quality assurance.
- Conduct testing on products for pH, moisture content, and consistency.
- Complete additional assigned tasks and projects as required.
Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
Required Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in a food processing setting.
- Basic proficiency in computer usage.
- Professional demeanor and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in meat processing.
- Bilingual in Spanish is advantageous.
- HACCP Certification is preferred.
