Kettering Health Greene Memorial is a 49-bed facility accredited by the American College of Emergency Physicians as a Level 3 Geriatric Emergency Department.

As a Physiatrist at Kettering Health, you will provide therapy evaluation to determine the extent of symptoms and/or functional limitations relevant to the diagnosis.

Major tasks and duties include:

  • Direct patient care
  • Day-to-day patient scheduling
  • Supervision of Physical Therapist Assistants and students
  • Consultation with physicians and other team members
  • Documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI)
  • Clinical education
  • Guest relations
  • Billing for patient services rendered

Graduation from an accredited school of physical therapy is required. A Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate is also required.

You will be able to evaluate, formulate a plan of care, and perform therapy treatments in accordance with the established plan of care.

You will have knowledge of and ability to use therapy equipment, as well as knowledge of or willingness to learn documentation in the electronic medical record.

You will interpret medical history and perform a functional and comprehensive evaluation for adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.

You will demonstrate sound clinical decisions and clinical competence in implementing, modifying, and progressing therapy utilizing evidence-based techniques to meet individualized patient goals.

You will document evaluations, treatment, progress notes, and/or discharge notes in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with the KHN documentation policy.

You will utilize clear, concise language for documentation, meeting standards of CMS, HFAP, and other regulatory agencies.

You will meet the quality improvement and assurance standards of the department, including but not limited to patient/family education and timeliness of discharge notes in accordance with the KHN documentation policy.

You will provide clinical supervision of PT and/or PTA students, PTA staff, rehab aides, support personnel, and volunteers.
