We are seeking a highly skilled Health Physics Specialist to join our team at Brunswick. As a key member of our radiation protection team, you will be responsible for providing radiation protection coverage and oversight during power plant activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide radiation protection coverage and oversight during power plant activities
  • Perform radiation and contamination surveys
  • Conduct material and equipment surveys
  • Release personnel and material
  • Escort material
  • Develop ALARA plans
  • Assist with decontamination activities
  • Support the Site Emergency Plan

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Satisfy all requirements to obtain a Level II Nuclear Access Badge
  • Meet or exceed the requirements of ANSI Standard N
  • Complete GAP training/CIRP Task of the NISP-RP-12
  • Hold a Class B Commercial Driver's License with DOT Hazardous Material Certification
  • Be trained in OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in radiation protection and nuclear safety
  • Knowledge of ANSI Standard N and NISP-RP-12
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
