We are seeking a highly skilled Health Physics Specialist to join our team at Brunswick. As a key member of our radiation protection team, you will be responsible for providing radiation protection coverage and oversight during power plant activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide radiation protection coverage and oversight during power plant activities
- Perform radiation and contamination surveys
- Conduct material and equipment surveys
- Release personnel and material
- Escort material
- Develop ALARA plans
- Assist with decontamination activities
- Support the Site Emergency Plan
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Satisfy all requirements to obtain a Level II Nuclear Access Badge
- Meet or exceed the requirements of ANSI Standard N
- Complete GAP training/CIRP Task of the NISP-RP-12
- Hold a Class B Commercial Driver's License with DOT Hazardous Material Certification
- Be trained in OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in radiation protection and nuclear safety
- Knowledge of ANSI Standard N and NISP-RP-12
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
