Role Overview:
We are currently seeking a Senior Surgical Consultant to join our dynamic team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role involves working closely with healthcare professionals to promote and support our advanced cardiac devices, specifically the Impella product line.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive training and education on the Impella 5.5 with SmartAssist to healthcare teams.
- Engage with clinical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes through effective device utilization.
- Collaborate with engineering and medical teams to support the commercialization of new surgical technologies.
- Deliver expert knowledge on the full range of Impella devices to enhance adoption and usage.
- Assist in the integration of the Breethe Oxy-1 system into clinical practice.
- Work alongside the Commercial Team to identify and address customer needs.
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients to assess their clinical and educational requirements.
- Conduct training sessions on the complete Impella Surgical Device lineup.
- Foster relationships with key opinion leaders and strategic partners in the cardiac surgery field.
- Participate in major conferences and local symposiums to represent our innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required; licensure as a Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA), Nurse Practitioner (NP), Surgical Physician's Assistant (PA), or Perfusionist is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of direct experience in Cardiac Surgery or Perfusion is preferred.
- Experience in a cardiothoracic ICU or direct involvement in CVOR procedures is essential.
- Strong familiarity with cardiac surgery protocols and confidence in clinical settings is required.
- Willingness to travel extensively across multiple regions is necessary.
- Previous experience with Abiomed or similar cardiac medical devices is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to drive positive patient outcomes is essential.
- Compliance with all relevant medical device industry regulations is mandatory.
- A valid driver's license issued in the United States is required.
