Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients in the Emergency Department
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other support staff, to ensure seamless care delivery
- Participate in shared decision-making and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices, technologies, and research findings to provide evidence-based care
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure clear understanding and coordination of care
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by promoting teamwork, respect, and open communication
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting
- At least 1 year of experience in Emergency Department or Pediatric ICU acute care required
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Florida
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
- ENPC and TNCC certifications desirable
- Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows
- BSN degree
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Ability to function in a team-based environment
- Flexibility in rotation of schedules to meet the needs of the department
