Hours: 5 AM - 1:30 PM

Compensation: $21.00 per hour

Role Responsibilities

The Inventory Control Specialist (ICS) is responsible for ensuring precise tracking of inventory and related transactions. Key tasks include:

  • Utilizing RF scanners and desktop systems within an SAP framework.
  • Operating Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • Performing daily cycle counts of inventory.
  • Identifying and reporting inventory discrepancies.
  • Implementing First In / First Out (FIFO) product rotation.
  • Replenishing pick locations to support warehouse operations.
  • Managing damaged and spoiled products.
  • Assisting with outgoing shipments and preparing necessary documentation.
  • Adhering to company policies and security measures.
  • Preparing for audits and maintaining a clean workspace.
  • Training team members in inventory management practices.
  • Conducting regular physical inventory checks.
  • Ensuring safety protocols are followed while using equipment.
  • Completing additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma required; college education preferred.
  • Inventory certifications are a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory management; SAP experience is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in warehouse, production, or manufacturing settings is essential.
  • Ability to maintain forklift and pallet jack certifications.
  • Attention to detail for identifying product defects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and RF scanning technology.
  • Basic math skills are necessary.
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with customers.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements
  • Capability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer environments.
  • Comfortable working around loud machinery.
  • Must be able to work with flour and yeast.
  • Frequent overhead reaching is required.
  • Ability to push or pull 100 pounds using a pallet jack.
  • Adherence to safety equipment requirements.
