The Mixologist, under the guidance of the Lead Mixologist, is tasked with greeting and serving patrons food and beverages in a friendly and efficient manner while maintaining cleanliness and organization in work areas. This role is committed to delivering attentive, cheerful, and professional customer service to all guests, both internal and external, with the aim of exceeding their expectations.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: (includes, but is not limited to, the following)
  • Prepares and serves beverages and food items to guests.
  • Verifies customer identification to ensure compliance with age restrictions for alcohol purchases.
  • Maintains a fully stocked bar to provide seamless service to guests.
  • Cleans and organizes work and bar areas throughout the shift, ensuring readiness for subsequent shifts.
  • Ensures that no underage or intoxicated patrons are served alcoholic beverages.
  • Adheres to T.I.P.'s guidelines for responsible service.
  • Delivers attentive, cheerful, and professional service to all customers.
  • Rotates inventory to guarantee the freshness of products served.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES: (includes, but is not limited to, the following)
  • Handles cash transactions and reconciles with the point of sale system.
  • Performs other job-related tasks as assigned.
CONTACTS:

Collaborates with immediate peers, colleagues in other departments, direct supervisor/manager, Board of Directors, and customers.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position requires medium physical activity, including lifting up to 50 pounds maximum and frequent lifting/carrying of up to 25 pounds. Physical activities include constant standing, walking, pushing/pulling, and the use of hearing, smell, and various vision capabilities. Frequent tasks involve carrying/lifting, bending, reaching, and manual handling, with occasional sitting, climbing, kneeling, and crawling. Working conditions involve constant exposure to noise and air quality variations, frequent exposure to extreme temperatures, and dim lighting; occasional exposure to weather, humidity, and vibrations. Potential hazards include ongoing exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, and equipment, with occasional exposure to high places and client interactions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: Previous experience as a bartender or in the food service or customer service industry is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: A solid understanding of customer service standards is essential. Candidates should possess a polished appearance and engaging personality. Basic math skills are required. The ability to thrive in high-pressure environments and manage challenging situations is crucial. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary. Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is expected. Candidates must be able to learn to operate a telephone, POS system, and beverage dispensing systems. The ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously and to build effective working relationships with supervisors, coworkers, and the public is essential. Preference will be given to Native American candidates.
