Job Summary:

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at UVA Health. As a member of our acute cardiology unit, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with personal care as needed for optimal recovery during hospitalization.
  • Perform basic nursing skills as delegated by an RN and in accordance with policy and procedure to promote patient health and wellness.
  • Provide for a safe environment and safe delivery of care.
  • Perform administrative support functions.
  • Maintain necessary skills and competencies.
  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Requirements:
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent.
  • No experience required. Relevant experience preferred.
  • Certified Nursing Aide certification (CNA) through the Virginia Board of Nursing.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
