Job Summary

Cynet Health is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our team for a 13-week assignment in Charlotte, NC. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing MRI procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency.
  • Examine requests and verify orders for each assigned patient, questioning any discrepancies with the Radiologist or ordering provider.
  • Properly identify patients using two identifiers and offer a brief explanation of the procedures.
  • Prepare patients for the procedure with a full explanation and document on appropriate worksheets.
  • Interview patients for a complete medical history and record it on requisitions.
  • Prepare and administer IV contrast according to departmental protocols.
  • Evaluate the technical quality of images and consult with a Radiologist if needed.
  • Recognize abnormal anatomy and process additional reconstructed images or measurements as instructed.
  • Inform appropriate personnel of any changes in the patient's condition and assist in emergency procedures.
  • Perform MRI scanning and assist Physicians/PA during invasive procedures.
  • Maintain sterile techniques in the preparation of necessary supplies and perform all invasive procedures in accordance with protocols.
  • Follow appropriate radiation safety standards and maintain a clean and stocked work area.
  • Operate radiology computer systems for entering orders and documenting procedures/supplies.
  • Maintain knowledge of all MRI safety requirements for staff and patients around magnetic fields.
Requirements
  • Requires moderate to heavy physical efforts in lifting and moving patients, equipment, and supplies.
  • May be exposed to various physical conditions throughout the day such as hard surfaces and climbing stairs.
  • Required to use radiation safety guidelines and prevent exposure to ionizing radiation.
Education

Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA-approved program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology or active enrollment in a ARMRIT or ARRT registry eligible program.
