Lead Operations for Affordable Housing Communities

FPI Management, Inc. seeks a seasoned professional to lead the day-to-day operations of our affordable housing communities as a Community Director. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing small assets with a staff of up to 5 FTEs.

About the Role:

  • Oversee and enhance the value of properties/asssets, meeting client operational and financial goals.
  • Supervise on-site staff, including Assistant Community Directors, Resident Services Coordinators, Compliance Specialists, and more.
  • Develop and manage site team members, ensuring compliance with various department requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Relations
  • Implement owner philosophies in daily operations to meet client objectives.
  • Maintain positive communication with applicants, residents, vendors, clients, and guests.
Employee Management
  • Hire, train, and evaluate employees to ensure effective team performance.
  • Ensure timely completion of employee-related tasks, such as training and evaluation.
Revenue Management
  • Manage lease expirations and turnover to maximize revenue potential.
  • Process vendor invoices, manage accounting, and comply with periodic financial reporting.
Reporting and Document Management
  • Maintain accurate resident files, adhering to FPI Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure confidentiality of resident information and maintain organized documentation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in affordable housing programs, including LIHTC, HUD, and USDA-Rural Development.
  • Affordable Housing Accreditation or applicable designations.
  • 1 year of leadership experience in Residential Property Management.
  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate; college degree preferred.
