Job Summary

The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist at Altru Health prepares the Cath Lab for Cardiac Cath Lab procedures and assesses and fulfills patient needs. This position performs hemodynamic and control room duties, completes patient catheterization reports, and correlates the analysis of invasive and non-invasive tests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Correlate the analysis of invasive and non-invasive tests to recognize the need for additional intervention and report pertinent findings to the physician.
  • Perform hemodynamic and control room duties, maintaining a working knowledge of equipment.
  • Prepare and perform the Cardiac Cath Lab for procedures according to standard operating procedures, including proper supplies and equipment setup.
  • Practice radiation safety to protect both staff members and patients.
  • Perform and monitor patient stress tests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
Certifications and Requirements
  • ND Medical Imaging License from the North Dakota Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board within 12 months of start date.
  • Cardiovascular Technologist - Registered from Cardiovascular Credentialing International within 24 months of start date.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association within 90 days of start date.
Education and Experience
  • Preferred: Associate's degree in Cardiac Technician or Radiologic Technology.
