Role Summary:

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) operates under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, assisting patients in recovering from physical ailments and enhancing their mobility. The PTA is responsible for implementing treatment plans that may include exercises, manual therapy, and other therapeutic modalities designed to promote recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with mobility and daily activities.
  • Support the physical therapist by identifying patient needs and contributing to care strategies.
  • Conduct patient assessments through interviews and physical examinations.
  • Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately.
  • Administer therapeutic exercises and assist patients in performing prescribed activities.
  • Educate patients on their treatment plans and wellness strategies.
  • Ensure a safe and hygienic environment in compliance with health regulations.
  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts.

Additional Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

Education: Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.

Licenses/Certification: Current state PTA license and valid CPR certification.
