Job Description

The City of New York seeks a skilled Surveyor to conduct condition assessments in City-owned buildings as part of the Asset Information Management System (AIMS) program.

The selected candidate will inspect and assess the physical condition of exterior and interior building components, such as facades, parapet walls, roof, windows, floors, stairs, walls, and ceilings.

The Surveyor will record existing conditions, assess repair and replacement needs, and determine remaining component life expectancy.

This position requires a valid New York State Professional Engineers License and at least four years of full-time experience in mechanical engineering work.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct condition assessments in City-owned buildings
  • Inspect and assess physical condition of building components
  • Record existing conditions and assess repair and replacement needs
  • Determine remaining component life expectancy

Authorization to work in the United States is required for this position.
