The State of Oregon is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer - Bridge Replacement to join our team in Portland. This is a unique opportunity to work on a high-profile project that will make a lasting impact on the local community and region. As a member of our Interstate Bridge Replacement program, you will be part of a team of engineers, technical experts, transportation professionals, and more with national and international experience.

This position involves overseeing design and preparations of roadway portions of plans and estimates, conducting research, evaluating information across the agency, and providing details and data to lead to agency methods and procedures. You will also assist the senior roadway engineer and design manager with technical review and coordination, review and recommend approval, revision or denial of submitted design exception letters, and advise consultants with development-related questions needing response from both ODOT and WSDOT or technical services as well as the FHWA and Federal Transit Administration (FTA).

The estimated salary for this position is $7,500 - $10,500 per year, based on your experience, skills, and education. You will also have access to a comprehensive benefits package, including 11 paid holidays a year, flexible work schedules, paid leave, and much more. To be successful in this role, you must have a valid Professional Engineer's (PE) license in civil, structural, or transportation-related engineering, as well as experience working on roadway and highway design, developing final plans sets (PS&E), coordinating with construction, travel modeling, safety, and traffic analysis, and working as a team player on a multi-discipline, multi-agency program.
