Job Title: Psychiatrist-Southwest Autism Center of Excellence

Southwest Behavioral and Health Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our team. As a Psychiatrist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to individuals with autism and other behavioral health needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough evaluations to diagnose autism and related disorders using standardized tools and interviews.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on diagnostic findings.
  • Provide ongoing support and follow-up care for patients with autism and other related behavioral health needs.
  • Educate patients and families about autism and available resources.
  • Advocate for patients' needs within the healthcare system and community.
Requirements:
  • Arizona License to practice Medicine (M.D. / D.O.) Boarded or Board eligible in Psychiatry.
  • Demonstrated experience in assessment, planning, and utilization of psychotropic medications in accordance with State and Federal regulations and best practices.
  • Three years' experience in the supervision of medical clinicians in the delivery of mental health services to children/adolescents/adults in the Public Behavioral Health system preferred.
  • Fingerprint clearance issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or be eligible to receive within eight (8) weeks of hire.
