Diesel Mechanic

Ground Route Inc is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with diesel engines and transmissions.
• Inspect and maintain refrigeration equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Test drive and deliver vehicles as needed.
• Document all repairs and maintenance performed.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience servicing and repairing diesel engines and transmissions.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet all driving qualifications.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally.
• Excellent communication and mathematical skills.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and ergonomics medical exam.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of refrigeration maintenance and diagnostics.
• Experience servicing tractor trailers and refrigerated commercial vehicles.
