Job Summary
Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading and training production employees to achieve safety, quality, and production objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and training to production employees to ensure safety, quality, and production objectives are met.
- Coordinate production activities with other departments to ensure timely and cost-effective production.
- Act as the first point of contact for operators regarding mechanical failures or production issues.
- Work with the operations team to ensure vacancies are covered for planned and unplanned absences.
- Prepare and review employee worked hours for submission to payroll.
- Establish and monitor shift performance for safety, quality, and production standards.
- Enter production data accurately into the system to measure and monitor KPIs.
- Update communication boards to keep the production floor team informed about safety, quality, and efficiency metrics.
- Lead employee start-up meetings and communicate past day performance versus goals and objectives.
- Respond to employee questions and concerns as necessary.
- Work with Human Resources to handle employee relations issues, investigations, or disciplinary matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or operations management.
- 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification is a plus.
- Previous labor relations experience.
- Previous experience working in a Lean environment.
- Self-directed team player with excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work multiple shifts.
