About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Community Engagement Coordinator to join our team at Blossom Creek by Cogir, a beautiful retirement community in [location]. As a key member of our senior living community, you will play a vital role in designing, creating, and facilitating life-enriching activities for our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Engage residents in various group settings and one-on-one interactions, promoting socialization and community building.
  • Develop and lead creative activities, including games, conversations, exercise classes, art, music, trips, and special events that cater to diverse interests and abilities.
  • Collaborate with the Resident Lifestyle Director to coordinate monthly newsletters and ensure effective communication within the community.
  • Lead assigned activities and provide support as needed to enhance resident engagement and overall quality of life.
  • Analyze resident participation and outcomes, making recommendations for future activity planning.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field (e.g., gerontology, education, recreation therapy).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience working with seniors and leading life-enrichment activities, preferably in independent living, assisted living, memory care, or senior living settings.
  • A valid state driver's license and willingness to transport residents on outings (if applicable).
