Metallurgical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Metallurgical Engineer to join our team at Knowhirematch. As a key member of our casting team, you will be responsible for creating large castings using your metallurgical expertise.
Key Responsibilities- Define metallurgical requirements for projects to be cast
- Troubleshoot problems with castings
- Provide technical support to both external and internal customers
- Lead or assist with continuous process improvements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- BS in Metallurgical or Materials Engineering
- 5+ years of prior hands-on experience working with casting metallurgy
- Ability to work effectively as a team player with all levels of staff
- U.S. Citizenship (due to defense work)
Experience with induction furnace melting, arc melting, AOD refining is highly desirable. Knowledge of alloys, particularly copper, is also beneficial. Six-Sigma / Lean Manufacturing practices are a plus.
